Penguin Supplies Ltd latest cheque presentation to the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust for £530 concludes a successful year of fundraising for the Worcestershire based charity.
With their Head Office in Bromsgrove, Penguin are no strangers to diving into supporting local charities such as the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust, who raise awareness for childhood cancers as well as research and support. With various successful fundraising activities throughout 2021, the Penguin team’s latest cheque for £530 was the result of completing the Worcester City half marathon having never ran such a race before.
Chris Hopkinson, Director at Penguin Supplies Ltd explains, “The latest cheque that we presented to Michelle Nolan at the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust was a big achievement for me personally as I’d never run that far before. What pushed me forward was the outstanding work that the charity does for families at a devastating time in their lives, I’m truly humbled by their work in the community. Also, I would like to give a special thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising this year, with not only the Worcester City half marathon, but also our Penguins Pounds campaign last Spring.”
Michelle Nolan, Charity Engagement Co-ordinator at the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust, “We can’t thank Chris enough for supporting us this year. His grit and determination has really shone through and we couldn’t be more grateful.”
