Primrose Hospice was delighted to receive £1,662 from Penguin Office Supplies based in Bromsgrove, as a result of ongoing fundraising activities in 2019. Through their charity campaigns on World Penguin Day, the ‘Pounds for Primrose’ campaign and a high adrenaline ‘Wing-Walk’ as part of Primrose’s corporate challenge, Penguin has raised an incredible amount with the support from the local business community, friends and family.
At the start of 2019, the suppliers of office and business equipment Penguin Office Supplies, announced their support for Primrose Hospice with an ambitious fundraising programme for the year. Their ‘World Penguin Day’ Charity Campaign on 25th April was certainly a big landmark in fundraising activities, which saw Penguin Office Supplies donate a percentage of all orders to charity. Penguin were also active sponsors and promoters of the Primrose Hospice Summer Fete in June, which was a huge success, raising record-breaking figures for the Hospice. Plus, as part of the Primrose Hospice Corporate Challenge, Penguin took to the skies in September with a wing-walk raising £1,100 in this event alone.

Raising over £1,662 is well above what we anticipated. If you’ve ever visited Primrose Hospice you will see and feel what a special place it is. Hospices are often thought of as a place full of sadness, but Primrose is a happy place, providing day patients a place to enjoy and celebrate life”. He adds “A particular high point for me personally was at the Primrose Hospice Ball in September, winning the ‘Outstanding Moment’ Award for my charity wing-walk which was such an incredible experience. This year has been hugely successful, smashing previous years charity fundraising totals, but we couldn’t have done it without the dedication and support of all our customers, suppliers and of course friends and family too – THANK YOU!”.
