Penguin Office Supplies are proud to announce they have made Primrose Hospice their chosen charity for 2019. The team at Penguin Office Supplies have an exciting array of fundraising events lined up for the year and look forward to raising as much money as they can for the Bromsgrove- based hospice over the next twelve months.
Penguin Office Supplies based in Bromsgrove enjoy being active members of their local community and this year are committed to working closely with Primrose Hospice who care for patients with life limiting illnesses and support them and their families during difficult times. The Penguin team will be supporting Primrose’s Lantern Walk at Hanbury Hall and Business networking event in February, plus helping the hospice to promote their Charity Ball in September, the highlight of their 2019 fundraising calendar. All money raised will go towards funding much needed support services, therapies, refreshments and transport facilities offered to patients and their families.

The team do a fantastic job of supporting people with life limiting illnesses and helping them come to term with their diagnosis. Besides this, they also offer a range of support services for families, for whom this will also be a difficult and challenging time.” He adds, “Penguin are based in Bromsgrove and we really want to give something back to the local community this year which is why we have chosen to support Primrose Hospice. They help so many in the local area and cannot continue to do so without the generous support of other people and the donations from local businesses. We’ve some brilliant ideas up our sleeves to raise cash for the hospice over the course of 2019 and can’t wait to get started!”
Amy Flemming, Fundraiser at Primrose Hospice explains, “Primrose’s Day Hospice is open Tuesday to Friday each week. We have space for up to 15 patients each day and take referrals from Macmillan Nurses, District Nurses, GP’s and hospital Consultants. Besides providing a safe environment in which to discuss diagnosis and treatment, patients are offered complementary therapies and can participate in various scheduled activities which encourages them to socialise with others in similar situations, talk about their feelings, relax and find balance.” She adds, “We also support the families, relatives, children and close friends of patients affected by life limiting illnesses through a range of family support services. We offer support throughout the grief journey, giving our families the chance to come to terms with their feelings and learn coping strategies to help them through their bereavement. We also help those who require psychosocial and practical help and rely on generous donations from the general public to continue running these beneficial services.”
